Hey there! I’m Alecia St. Germain, founder of The Conscious Edge, and today’s episode dives into a topic I believe every entrepreneur faces—feeling stuck. I’m here to help women make money and be successful without burnout and struggle. My frequent co-host Jonathan Dugger and I are all about doing work we love with joy and ease.

As much as we embrace joy, we all have times when things aren’t clicking. Instead, we hit a point where our progress halts, often due to life’s unpredictable circumstances. Today, I’ll share a powerful process to overcome those mental roadblocks and get back to moving forward with your goals, even when things feel out of your control.

When we talk about creating wealth and building a fulfilling life, it’s not just about hitting financial targets. It’s about balancing growth with joy, where you’re thriving and enjoying the journey, not just grinding it out for a future payoff. But what happens when you hit that wall of doubt, where it feels like something is “off” and you’re unsure if your path is right?

Recently, someone in a mastermind shared that she’d put a project on hold to handle some priorities related to her family and her health. Every time she thought she could go back to the project; it seemed something else came up requiring another pause.

She shared that she was not sure how to move forward or if she should move forward at all. She had identified a big need in her market, and truly felt that the project was the right next step, but uncertainty stopped her from moving forward.

Know the Difference Between Real Intuition and Mental Blocks

One of the first steps is identifying whether you’re genuinely picking up on something that needs a change or if it’s just a block caused by an unconscious belief. I had the privilege of discussing this with a wonderful client recently. She’s a highly successful entrepreneur working on a new revenue stream, but personal challenges kept arising, pulling her focus. It left her feeling uncertain, questioning if this new project was truly right for her.

Together, we used a method called Immunity to Change, a process that digs deep into hidden assumptions holding us back. This process helped her realize that her fear of letting others down was triggering that stuck feeling—not an actual problem with her project. You can answer these same questions for yourself if you are feeling stuck or unsure about next steps.

Getting Unstuck with Immunity to Change

Here’s how you can start overcoming your blocks:

  • Visualize Moving Forward: Close your eyes and imagine yourself actively working on the project. Notice any feelings of resistance or where your mind goes blank. These are clues.

  • Ask: What Am I Worried About?: When those blocks appear, ask yourself directly, “What am I worried about if I move forward?” Digging into these feelings often reveals unconscious beliefs, like fears of failure or letting others down.

  • Challenge the Belief: Once you identify a belief (e.g., “If I don’t succeed perfectly, I’m a flake”), ask yourself if the evidence supports it. For my client, her track record of reliability showed she was far from a flake. Recognizing this let her confidently plan her next steps, free from doubt.

Breaking through these mental barriers is a lifelong skill. Each time you confront a block and move forward, you not only grow but also become more attuned to your intuition. Building this awareness and strength allows us to keep moving toward our visions with peace and resilience.

I’d love to see everyone do this type of work because when you are self-aware, and you understand and are responsible for the results that you create, you have this way of looking at problems, solving them, and keeping forward momentum. It also means you aren’t participating in blame, shame, and guilt which keeps us stuck.

I know that that is a path to progress. That is a path to creating a world that is less divided, more unified, working together, creating a good place to live, a kinder place to live. Consider what this work could look like for your life. Sending you much love until next time.

Sending you love and be well!
